UWM 57/24 Specialist Engineering Artisan
Requirements
- Trade test in Diesel Mechanic
- Code C or EC drivers licence (advantageous)
- Computer Literacy
- Minimum 5 Years’ (8 years + preferred) relevant experience
in relevant trade
- Willingness to work overtime and outside normal working hours
as and when required
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
Key Performance Areas
- Co-ordinates activities associated with specific functional
areas such as vehicle maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting
& fault finding
- Carrying out repairs by stripping, cleaning, overhauling,
replacing and assembling components (e.g., brake & clutch
overhauls, gearboxes, engines, any other related mechanical
repairs)
- Testing vehicle systems, components and isolating faults
- Diagnosing system and identifying incipient and latent defects
on components by visual inspection, performing functional tests,
(including road testing) and investigation procedures;
- Checking the functionality of replacement components and
executing the necessary adjustment and setting sequences;
- Interprets and co-ordinates specific pre-work requirements
with regards to repairs, planned and predictive maintenance
sequences and guides the activities of personnel.
- Interacting with Stores and checking allocated components
and materials against job cards prior to commencing with the job
- Completes Internal transactional documentation timeously.
- Supervise, motivate, train and discipline staff
- Compliance with all Occupational Health & Safety rules,
regulations and processes
