Key purpose of the role
Ensuring the timely and accurate payment of employee salaries
Key outputs/accountability
Accurate and Timely processing of payroll
Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.
Monthly analysis of payroll related data
Maintenance of complete payroll records in line with regulations
Collaboration with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations
Monthly balance sheet recons for payroll related control accounts
Providing information and answering employee questions about payroll related matters.
Educational qualifications, experience and skills
Diploma in Payroll Administration or related qualification in Finance.
Experience in Sage 300 People is essential.
Good understanding of financial concepts and payroll legislation, e.g., Employee tax, Remuneration, Fringe Benefits, BCEA, Pension Fund Rules and Medical Schemes .
Excellent skills using MSOffice (Excel, Word)
Minimum two years of experience working in an equivalent or similar role.
Media industry experience advantageous.
