Thought Leadership
1. Provide strategic insight by continually researching global trends around methodology, solutions, pricing, value proposition, segmentation and service strategies.
2. Optimization of member outcomes by understanding trends and changes in the financial planning market
3. Detailed understanding and in-depth knowledge of Tax, legislation, product and advice to tailor client outcomes which are then embedded into best practice and frameworks
4. This role will enable new client acquisition and existing client cross sell
5. Research on global trends and changes within the financial services capability to ensure PPS A&D remains relevant and cutting edge
6. Provide Product developments and enhancements by collaboration with product houses based on emerging globally trends
7. Define and implement an approach across all practice areas, integrating the full range of services, showcasing the knowledge and expertise.
8. Contribute to setting the direction and strategy through Thought Leadership
9. Engage in discussions with industry stakeholders
10. Develop and implement a simple, high-impact manner of communicating Thought-Leadership outputs (internally and externally)
11. A key member of the Advice Council within A&D to approve and implement in conjunction with Distribution Heads and Best Practice
Commercial management
1. Develop strategies/initiatives to unlock sales opportunities within and across all channels
2. Manage a budget and expenditure and logistics of a decentralized office
3. Accountable to deliver annual Investment profitability through the channels and in conjunction with Heads of Channels and Senior Management, partnering with PPSI to enable these outcomes.
4. Support projects and campaigns, with the ability to deliver presentations within regions on at least a quarterly basis, including both roadshows and smaller events
5. Work with the Positioning and Intelligence PPSI heads, A&D Head of Channel Development and Enablement and the A&D Exco, to ensure that the distribution & engagement process, including CRM activity, data analysis and intermediary positioning information is in line with the annual and quarterly plan for the Investment Specialists, Broker Consultants.
Stakeholder management
1. Manage a team of Investment Specialists, towards a specific target in terms of both activity and flows within the Internal Distribution and Wealth Advisory business.
2. External Distribution focus is to actively engage with, and build long-term strong relationships with key business partners, associations, stakeholders, intermediaries including high net worth intermediaries to achieve objectives
3. Quarterly training and development of the External Distribution Broker Consultants and Investment Specialists in order to support their Broker Consultants, Investment Specialists and support staff.
People and Culture
1. Lead, motivate and drive performance of the teams including internal and external stakeholders
2. Ensure a positive team culture by optimizing staff engagement levels and team effectiveness
3. Hire, develop and manage people in alignment with company objectives, values and culture
4. Design, implement and monitor corrective action to address shortcomings in achieving sales objectives
