A position has just opened for a Senior Guide and Lodge Manager couple at a stunning intimate Safari Lodge in the Waterberg area. The couple must have good experience (5 years +) in luxury lodges with a background in maintenance, hands on Management and Guiding. Requirements:
Lodge Manager:
- Good computer skills / social media and marketing
- Office administration
- Exceptional Guest Relations skills (hands on hosting skills)
- Ability to think on the spot
- Experienced all-rounder in Lodge Management
- Valid RSA Driver's License with a public driver’s permit (PDP)(beneficial)
- Hosting guests
- Check-in & check-outs
- Working alongside the GM and reservations manager
- Office administration – reservations and social media
- Monthly reporting to GM
- Overseeing various departments (kitchen/housekeeping, etc.)
Guide/ Maintenance Manager:
- Maintenance skills – Preferably have experience in the following areas - Electrical (single and three phase), Refrigeration, borehole & river pumps & basic mechanical knowledge.
- Attention to detail.
- Reliable and adaptable
- Qualified Game Ranger/Field Guide with FGASA Level 1
- Valid RSA Driver's License with a public driver’s permit (PDP)
- General Maintenance and repairs to all buildings.
- Reserve Maintenance as needed
- Help with activities as needed
- Upkeep and repairs of all public areas.
- General Maintenance on electrical, plumbing, appliances, tools and equipment.
- Plan, propose and manage all projects as and when required including collaboration of projects with outside contractors.
- Ensure quality control of maintenance and projects.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports and ad hoc budgets for operations and projects.
- Fleet Management of company vehicles.
- Hosting guests
Package:
- Salary: R40 000- R apply below (for the couple) D.O.E
- Live-in accommodation (cannot accommodate children or pets)
