Game Lodge Assistant Maintenance Manager/Electrician 3451SI
We are looking for an experienced Game Lodge Assistant Maintenance Manager/Electrician to join the team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager. You must have 2-3 years experience working on a Game Reserve in Maintenance management. Drivers license and relevant tertiary education essential.
Purpose of the job:
Purpose of the job:
- Core duty will be to focus on Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within the lodge
- Actively assisting Group Maintenance Manager with daily tasks within the team, and department at large.
- Minimum 4-5 years’ experience in a 4/5-star hotel or lodge.
- Matric (Grade 12) and Electrical Trade Test Certificate.
- Bachelor’s degree/ or diploma/higher certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing) are an advantage.
- Wireman’s License preferred.
- Communicates directly with the Operations departments to coordinate maintenance and repair work to the required 5-star standards.
- Conducts employee performance reviews based on job descriptions to determine competency, knowledge, and contribution of the maintenance staff.
- Maintains and updates operating and training manuals for the Maintenance department.
- Be hands on and ensure that all maintenance staff is trained on the most updated version of the operating procedures.
- Monitors operation of equipment and systems.
