An established CMT factory in the South Coast of Durban is seeking a Factory Manager
Minimum Requirements
· Sound knowledge and understanding of safety regulations and policies.
· Ability to multitask simultaneously.
· Thorough knowledge of industry-specific factory equipment and machinery.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Good analytical and leadership skills.
· Ability to solve complex problems.
· Exceptional ability to meet deadlines.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Outstanding managerial skills.
· Good decision-making skills and logical thinking abilities.
· Ability to drive, motivate and inspire staff to achieve.
· Firm understanding of how to read and interpret cut sheets
· Forward thinker
· Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite)
Key Competencies
As a Factory Manager, you will be responsible for the following including but not limited to
· overseeing the performance and delegating tasks to workers.
· Ensuring that the factory targets are met.
· Maintain positive work environment
· Demonstrate good leadership abilities.
Responsibilities Including but Not Limited to the following:
· Planning factory daily routines.
· Meeting customer's expectations and demands.
· Supervising the factory workers on the production floor.
· Maintaining high standards of the production line.
· Implementing production strategies as per the requirements.
· Monitoring the factory operations.
· Taking corrective action as and when required.
· Resolving any factory-related issues.
· Assigning tasks to the factory staff.
· Creating and enforcing quality control standards.
· Implementing machine maintenance operating procedures.
· Suggesting improvements in the strategies.
· Preparing production schedules and reports.
· Presenting the reports to the higher management.
· Assisting the HR department in hiring.
· Providing training to the new employees.
· Inspecting the quality of the finished products.
· Maintaining a sound relationship with the employees and management.
· Ensure all cut sheets are closed on time and wastages are tightly monitored and driven down.
· Up skilling of production team allowing for multi-skilled employees in all areas
