The Account Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining a strong relation with important clients. The incumbent will ensure that services are provided accordingly and generate new sales. Account Executive Job Duties:
Servicing of and selling solutions to existing clients’ base
Prospecting for new advertisers
Formulating sales strategies
Generation of new sources of revenue with optimum volumes and yield
Achievement of minimum set call rates
Achievement of minimum set proposal rates
Achievement of minimum set closing ratios
Timeous and accurate feedback to clients
Expending time and energy on creative solutions to meet clients’ needs
Retention of clients
Driving, developing and assisting with marketing initiatives
Developing knowledge of client’s brands and businesses
Ensure the smooth running of all administrative procedures pertaining to scheduling, programming, productions and finance
Complete weekly reports timeously
Prepare, follow up and continuously update a sales action plan
Qualifications:
Media or Marketing Degree or equivalent study with a high level of understanding of sales, media and marketing strategy
Experience and Knowledge of:
5-10 years in the Media/ Marketing/ Advertising industry with proven track record of working in the media industry, formulating and selling strategic media solutions at a senior level
Skills:
Sound knowledge of the media and advertising sectors
Good understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods
Ability to think strategically within the parameters of the new sales strategy
Ability to identify advertiser’s business challenges and then effectively formulate and sell relevant media solutions
Actively source and identify opportunities to take to market
Portfolio/Account management – maximizing and creating opportunities across all agencies and brands
Excellent presentation skills
Excellent business written and communication skills
Good problem-solving skills
Ability to build relationships, trust and customer loyalty
