Job Title: Procurement Supervisor Reports to: Procurement Manager / Operations Manager Department: Procurement Location: Neom Job Summary: The Procurement Supervisor is responsible for supervising the procurement team and overseeing the sourcing, purchasing, and supply of materials and services necessary for various construction and contracting projects. The role involves vendor management, cost negotiation, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and maintaining procurement records in compliance with company policies and project timelines. Key Responsibilities:
Supervision of Procurement Team: Manage and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
Sourcing and Vendor Management: Identify and establish relationships with reliable suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers to ensure quality materials and services at competitive prices.
Purchase Orders & Contracts: Oversee the creation, approval, and management of purchase orders and supplier contracts, ensuring that all terms and conditions align with company policies.
Cost Management: Work with project managers and estimators to control costs by negotiating prices and monitoring expenditure against budgets.
Supply Chain Coordination: Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to job sites in alignment with project schedules and timelines.
Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure that materials are readily available for projects.
Supplier Evaluation: Conduct supplier performance evaluations based on quality, cost, and delivery times; ensure that supplier performance aligns with project needs.
Compliance & Documentation: Ensure procurement activities are conducted in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Maintain accurate records of purchases, deliveries, and payments.
Market Research: Stay updated on market trends, material availability, and price fluctuations to make informed procurement decisions.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with supply chain disruptions, material shortages, or price increases.
Reporting: Prepare regular procurement reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), cost savings, and procurement challenges.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum 6 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the construction or contracting industry.
At least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
Skills:
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Familiarity with construction materials, tools, and services.
Knowledge of procurement software and ERP systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
