PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Our customer is a global leader in the domain of clearing, offering access to a wide range of listed instruments on markets across the globe. IT is in the heart of their organization with more than 30 different product teams and 10 different platform teams that are trying to build the best products & services for their customers. Their presence in important financial centers like Amsterdam, Chicago, Sydney, Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong, London, Sao Paulo and Frankfurt, allows them to effectively serve clients worldwide and maintain close proximity to their diverse customer base.
THE ROLE INVOLVES: You’ll be part of an international/global team. Their vision is to enable development teams to adopt Standardized Platforms by making Public (AWS) and Private (Open Shift) cloud platforms more consumable. They aim to do this by implementing Standardized Pipelines across all teams and applications and provide a Standardized Development Experience. As a member of this team, you will be interacting very closely with product development teams, platform teams, Architects, CISOs located in different regions across the globe. Responsibilities:
Develop AWS Custom Construct using CDK
Develop and Improve CI/CD pipelines
Explore and improve CI/CD & Dev Ops processes
Collaborate with developers and architects on migration requirements and solutions
Migration of applications to Cloud
Encourage and build automated processes wherever possible, and react quickly to feedback to continuously improve them
Train and share your Dev Ops knowledge across teams (trainings & workshops)
Build a bridge to the cloud platform teams
TECHNICAL PLAYGROUND:
5+ years of relevant experience as a Dev Ops Engineer
Experience working with AWS cloud (deploy, manage, maintain) is highly appreciated
Proven experience with working on AWS using Ia C (CDK)
Proven experience in automation and testing via scripting & programming with Bash, Python or Typescript
AWS Solution Architect Certification or AWS Dev Ops Professional Certification
Experience with AWS Services specifically used by our customer – besides the usual ones (EC2, S3, Route 53, Lambda etc.), knowledge and experience of ECS, KMS, SNS, Security Hub, Code Pipeline, Glue and Redshift would be a great plus
Experience with containerization
Familiar with automation software like Jenkins or Open Shift for Deployment
Experience with Monitoring & Observability (Cloud Watch, Splunk etc.)
Experience with Cloud Security & Networking
NICE TO HAVE:
A demonstrated record of achievement in large technical (migration) projects
Setup and configure CI/CD pipelines in a Microservices architecture landscape
Strong engineering instinct (do the right thing) and a deep understanding of computer science and affinity for mathematics
Awareness of critical concepts in Dev Ops and Agile principles
University degree in Computer Science/Engineering
