Position: Swimming Pool Operator
Reports To: Operations Manager
Job Summary:
The Swimming Pool Operator is responsible for the overall maintenance, safety, and operation of the swimming pool facilities at The Manila Times College of Subic. This role includes monitoring water quality, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and providing excellent customer service to pool users.
Key Responsibilities:

• Regularly test and adjust pool water chemistry (p H, chlorine levels, etc.).
• Clean and maintain pool surfaces, equipment, and surrounding areas.
• Perform routine maintenance on filtration and pump systems.

Safety and Compliance:

• Monitor pool activities to ensure a safe environment for users.
• Enforce pool rules and regulations.
• Respond to emergencies and administer first aid as necessary.

Customer Service:

• Assist patrons with inquiries and provide guidance on pool usage.
• Facilitate swimming lessons and recreational activities as required.

Record Keeping:

• Maintain accurate records of water quality tests, maintenance schedules, and incident reports.
• Prepare reports for management as needed.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with the Facilities Manager and other staff to ensure the pool facility meets operational standards.
• Participate in training sessions and safety drills.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in pool operation preferred.
• Experience in swimming pool maintenance or similar role is an advantage.
• Knowledge of pool chemicals, safety regulations, and first aid/CPR certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Skills:

• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic mechanical skills for pool equipment maintenance.
• Customer service-oriented with a friendly demeanor.

Working Conditions:

• Work will be primarily conducted outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift and move equipment as needed.
