Position: Pool Attendant/Lifeguard
Reports To: Operations Manager
Job Summary:
The Pool Attendant/Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all pool patrons at The Manila Times College of Subic. This role involves monitoring swimming activities, enforcing pool rules, and providing assistance and instruction to users. The attendant will also maintain cleanliness and organization in and around the pool area.
Key Responsibilities:

• Vigilantly observe pool areas to prevent accidents and respond to emergencies.
• Enforce all pool rules and regulations to ensure a safe environment.

Rescue and First Aid:

• Be prepared to perform rescues and administer first aid and CPR as needed.
• Maintain readiness to respond to emergencies, including injuries or distress in the water.

Customer Service:

• Greet and assist patrons with inquiries about pool usage and programs.
• Provide information on safety procedures and swimming instructions.

Pool Maintenance:

• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the pool area, including removing debris and managing equipment.
• Report maintenance issues to the Facilities Manager.

Record Keeping:

• Maintain accurate logs of pool activities, incidents, and safety checks.
• Participate in regular safety drills and training sessions.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with other lifeguards and facility staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Attend staff meetings and contribute to the development of safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in lifeguarding, CPR, and first aid required.
• Previous experience as a lifeguard or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong swimming skills and knowledge of water safety practices.

Skills:

• Excellent observation and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.

Working Conditions:

• Work primarily conducted outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
