Research and Development Admin Assistant

The Research and Development Admin Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the R&D team by managing administrative tasks to enhance efficiency and drive innovation in menu development.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and organize meetings, food tastings, and workshops, ensuring all participants are informed and prepared.
  • Assist with menu development projects, monitoring timelines and ensuring milestones are met.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on project progress, market trends, and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety regulations, maintaining up-to-date documentation and records.
  • Liaise with suppliers to source ingredients, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Plan and execute tastings and workshops, gathering feedback and insights to inform product development.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Food Science, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably within the food service industry.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Detail-oriented and proactive, with a genuine passion for food and culinary innovation.
  • Experience with menu development and food cost analysis is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software.
  • Understanding of current food trends and consumer preferences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
