The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment within the Commissary/ Plant. This role ensures that all systems are functioning efficiently and safely, helping to minimize downtime and support overall production goals. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory.
Collaborate with the maintenance team to improve processes and efficiency.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Support compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Report equipment malfunctions and suggest improvements.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in Electrical or Mechanical fields preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or food production environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
Excellent troubleshooting skills with a hands-on approach.
Good verbal and written communication skills for effective teamwork.
Ability to follow procedures and safety protocols meticulously.
Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
