POSITION PURPOSE Process of tracking, monitoring, and recording employee hours and leaves. It is crucial for businesses to ensure accurate compensation and avoid financial losses due to overpayments or legal issues. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES 1. Manage daily timekeeping records for all employees, ensuring accurate documentation, calculation, and analysis of hours worked. 2. Prepare timekeeping data for payroll processing, guaranteeing accurate compensation in compliance with government regulations. 3. Handle various pay assignments, including holidays, leave benefits, and special payments. 4. Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll cycles, calculating and processing rate changes, retroactive adjustments, and special pay assignments. 5. Apply appropriate payroll taxes and deductions according to state and federal guidelines. 6. Process all garnishments and wage assignments. 7. Perform additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
2 - 3 years of work experience
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
Organized and keen to details
Strong understanding of payroll principles, regulations, and best practices
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
