Key Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare a wide variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods in line with restaurant standards and guest expectations.
- Develop new dessert and pastry items to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders for ingredients as needed, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and workstations, following all safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Manage and train junior kitchen staff, as needed, in pastry preparation techniques.
- Ensure that all food items are prepared and presented in accordance with the restaurant's standards and guest requirements.
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques and a wide variety of desserts and pastries.
- Excellent creativity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Must provide a portfolio or file that includes pictures of your work showcasing your pastry and dessert creations.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
