Job Summary:
The Pastry Chef is the creative force behind the desserts, sweets, wedding cakes, Cake design, breads, and all bakery products in all F&B outlets. Responsibilities include menu and recipe creation for all outlets, costings, menu engineering, banquet event execution both internal and Off Site Catering, participating in tastings, ensuring a consistent product, quality control, food costs, labor control, daily operation organization, and developing and training a solid culinary team.
As a Pastry Chef, we rely on you to:
Direct, oversee and participate in all Bakery & pastry production, operations, including, but not limited to, quality preparation and presentation of pastries, desserts, and baked goods, compliance with all Shnagri-la's food safety standards.
Create custom desserts from recipes, and oversee the preparation of all baked goods.
Manage the pastry section kitchen, liaising with the executive and sous chefs to ensure a successful working environment.
Meet with guests to discuss custom-made desserts and pastries for special occasions, such as weddings and birthdays.
Order new supplies, ingredients, and equipment for the kitchen’s pastry section.
Monitor the stock of baking ingredients and equipment.
Lead the team with passion and ensure the team adheres to the Food Safety Standards and delivers products of the finest quality.

Requirements:
Extensive knowledge of baking and pastry-making techniques
Artistic skill in decorating desserts.
Strong sense of culinary creativity with attention to detail.
Similar work experience with luxury hotels.
