Fire fighting and Protection Engineer
- Fire Suppression Systems: Designing and specifying fire sprinkler systems, water spray systems, gas suppression systems (like CO2 or FM-200), and foam systems.
- Fire Detection Systems: Designing fire alarm systems, including smoke detectors, heat detectors, and other fire detection devices.
- Emergency Communication Systems: Designing systems for alerting occupants during emergencies and coordinating with fire departments.
- Evaluating buildings and facilities to assess fire risks and hazards.
- Developing strategies to mitigate fire risks through building design, layout, and materials.
- Ensuring that fire protection systems comply with local, state, and national fire safety regulations and building codes.
- Staying updated on changes in regulations and codes and adjusting designs accordingly.
- Managing projects related to fire protection system installation or upgrades.
- Coordinating with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate fire protection measures into building plans.
- Overseeing testing and maintenance of fire protection systems to ensure they function properly.
- Conducting inspections and audits to verify compliance with standards and codes.
- Analyzing potential fire hazards and developing risk management strategies.
- Providing recommendations for improving fire safety measures in existing buildings or facilities.
- Developing emergency response plans and procedures in collaboration with building management and emergency responders.
- Conducting drills and training sessions to ensure occupants are prepared in case of a fire emergency.
- Staying informed about advancements in fire protection technology and practices.
- Researching and experimenting with new materials and techniques to enhance fire safety.
- Providing expert advice and consultation to architects, engineers, and building owners on fire protection measures.
- Participating in interdisciplinary teams to integrate fire protection into overall building design.
- Keeping detailed records of design plans, inspections, tests, and maintenance activities.
- Preparing reports for regulatory agencies, building owners, and stakeholders.
Pay: RO300.000 - RO400.000 per month
