Job Title: Bakery and Pastry Chef Department: Kitchen JOB PURPOSE We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Bakery and Pastry Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in creating a wide range of baked goods and pastries, with a focus on menu development and innovation. We are looking for someone who can bring unique flavors and techniques, preferably from Asian countries like Thailand or Korea KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, design, and execute a variety of high-quality bakery items such as breads, cakes, pastries, and desserts.
Create and innovate new recipes with a focus on Asian-inspired flavors, incorporating ingredients and techniques from Thailand or Korea.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and enhance the overall bakery and pastry menu.
Ensure consistency in quality, taste, and presentation of all products.
Manage daily production schedules, ensuring timely preparation of baked goods for service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery and pastry kitchen, following health and safety standards.
Monitor inventory, order supplies, and ensure that ingredients are always fresh and available.
Train and mentor junior pastry staff, providing guidance on technique and recipe execution.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience as a Bakery and Pastry Chef, with expertise in creating both traditional and modern bakery items.
Strong menu development skills with a focus on innovation and creativity.
Experience working with Asian ingredients and flavors, preferably with knowledge of Thai or Korean desserts and pastries.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Strong leadership and communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Culinary degree or certification in baking and pastry arts.
Experience in a high-volume kitchen, bakery, or pastry shop.
Candidates from Asian countries such as Thailand or Korea are strongly preferred.
