HR/ IR OFFICER - LONGMEADOW The HR/IR Officer will support the Group HR/ER Manager in managing employee and industrial relations within the organization. This role includes ensuring compliance with labour laws, addressing employee grievances, and fostering a positive work environment. Additionally, the officer will oversee the entire recruitment process, ensuring the organization attracts, hires, and retains top talent.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee and Industrial Relations
Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Ensure adherence to labour laws and regulations.
Address and resolve employee grievances and disputes.
Assist Group HR Manager with disciplinary hearings.
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and selection.
Coordinate with department heads to understand staffing needs and requirements.
Conduct reference checks and background screenings.
Ensure a seamless onboarding process for new hires.
Compliance and Reporting
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labour laws and regulations.
Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
Prepare and submit required HR reports and documentation.
HR Administration:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
Assist with payroll and benefits administration as needed.
Provide HR support and guidance to employees and managers
Skills & Experience
2 – 4 years industry experience
Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong knowledge of labour laws and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Requirements
Matric/ Grade 12 (NSC)
Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources, or a related field.
Proven experience in HR, industrial relations, and recruitment
