The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing HR strategies, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with labor laws. The HR Manager will also play a crucial role in fostering a positive workplace culture and enhancing employee engagement. Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Staffing:
Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
Prepare job descriptions and specifications for various roles.
Conduct interviews, assessments, and reference checks.
Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and ensure timely hiring.
Onboarding and Orientation:
Design and manage the onboarding process for new hires.
Facilitate orientation sessions to introduce new employees to company culture, policies, and procedures.
Ensure all necessary documentation is completed and stored appropriately.
Employee Relations:
Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
Mediate conflicts and facilitate resolutions between employees and management.
Promote a positive work environment through engagement activities and feedback initiatives.
Performance Management:
Develop and implement performance appraisal systems.
Assist managers in setting performance goals and conducting evaluations.
Provide coaching and support to employees to enhance performance.
Compensation and Benefits:
Administer salary payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Review and manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance and retirement plans.
Conduct market research to ensure competitive compensation practices.
Policy Development and Compliance:
Develop, update, and implement HR policies and procedures in line with legal requirements and best practices.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
Maintain employee records and HR databases, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
Termination and Offboarding:
Manage the termination process, including conducting exit interviews and processing necessary paperwork.
Ensure compliance with legal requirements during terminations.
Provide support to departing employees regarding benefits and final payments.
Training and Development:
Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs.
Facilitate workshops and training sessions to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
Encourage continuous learning and professional growth within the organization.
HR Reporting and Analytics:
Prepare and present HR metrics and reports to management.
Analyze data to identify trends and inform strategic decisions.
Monitor employee turnover rates and develop strategies to improve retention.
Health and Safety:
Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by implementing workplace safety policies.
Conduct safety training and emergency response drills as needed.
Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations.
Location: Abeokuta, Ogun State Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
