Role Summary As a cleaner/janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the premises. Your primary duties will involve performing various cleaning tasks to ensure a safe, sanitary, and pleasant environment for all employees and customers. Duties include cleaning restaurant floors, restrooms, common areas, general surrounding, cleaning and sanitation of the refuse dump areas , as well as performing routine maintenance tasks. Operational Responsibilities
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; dust and wipe down surfaces; clean windows and mirrors.
Clean and sanitise restrooms; restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
Collect and dispose of trash and recycling from all areas of the facility.
Perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and reporting any repairs needed.
Ensure cleaning supplies are used and stored properly, adhering to safety guidelines.
Notify the supervisor when cleaning supplies need to be reordered.
Ensure that all cleaning tools and equipment are in good working condition.
Assist with setup and cleanup for special events or projects as needed.
Report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
Work cooperatively with other janitorial staff and maintenance officer to ensure all areas are cleaned and maintained.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to report issues and receive instructions.
Requirements
Minimum of senior secondary school certificate
A minimum of 1 year relevant experience
Previous experience in a janitorial or cleaning role is a plus
Attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, good time management, and basic maintenance skills.
Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed
