Our Client is on a mission to make the borrowing experience stress-free for every salaried worker in Africa by providing quick and easy access to credit with high-quality service. The CIO will be responsible for the security and data integrity of all systems at our clients firm and serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external resources on IT related issues. He/ She will oversee the use of security tools, review technical designs, and serve as the subject matter expert to top management as well as working with appropriate levels of management to implement security standards and procedures to ensure data confidentiality, data integrity, and data accessibility. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure and networks.
Establish and oversee IT governance processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and Industry best practices.
Manage relationships with technology partners and vendors to ensure the seamless operation of our IT systems.
Lead the creation of blueprints and architecture for system development, modification, or integration (esp., to accommodate local instances)
Monitor the management of local IT incidents and, where required, resolve escalated technical or system issues.
Inculcate ‘data centricity’ within the business, ensuring that all critical data, such as that of customers, is stored, managed, and accessed as per prescribed standards and absolute data integrity is maintained.
Monitor compliance with policies related to the sharing of data with external parties.
Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Oversee the planning, implementation, and management of IT systems and infrastructure.
Ensure the effective use of technology to enhance business processes and drive innovation.
Lead IT teams in the development and execution of projects and initiatives.
Establish and enforce IT policies, standards, and procedures.
Evaluate and recommend technology solutions to meet business requirements.
Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
Provide leadership in the development and management of the IT budget.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Hold a first degree from a university or polytechnic that is accredited by a recognized accrediting body.
Industry-recognized certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent).
8 - 10+ years of proven experience in IT-related leadership roles.
In-depth knowledge of information security principles, standards, and best practices.
Understanding of the regulatory environment in Nigeria and relevant sectors.
Proven leadership and management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to adapt to evolving threats and technologies.
Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
