JOB PURPOSE: The Chief Security Officer (CSO) shall be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the organization’s security strategy, policies, and procedures to protect physical and information assets. The CSO ensures that security measures meet organizational needs and regulatory requirements while safeguarding employees, assets, and information. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: · Operate and monitor equipment used in powder processing, including mills, blenders, and classifiers. · Strategic Planning: Develop and execute security policies, strategies, and plans to protect the organization's physical and digital assets. · Evaluate emerging security threats and implement appropriate measures to mitigate risks. · Risk Management: Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses. · Oversee the development and implementation of security protocols and incident response plans. · Security Operations: Supervise security operations and ensure the effectiveness of security systems and processes. · Manage security staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations. · Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. · Collaborate with legal, regulatory, and law enforcement agencies as needed. · Incident Management: Lead investigations into security breaches or incidents and coordinate with relevant authorities. · Develop and manage crisis management plans and response procedures. · Technology and Infrastructure: Oversee the implementation and management of security technologies and systems. · Work closely with IT and other departments to integrate security measures into organizational processes. · Communication and Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on security issues, incidents, and activities to executive management and stakeholders. · Act as the primary point of contact for security-related concerns. · Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage the security budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources. · Evaluate and procure security-related equipment and services. · Other duties may be assigned as necessary EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS: Proven experience in security management, including at least 8years in a senior security role. · Bachelor’s degree /HND in security management, Criminal Justice, Information Technology, or a related field (master’s degree preferred). · Professional certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are highly desirable. · Strong knowledge of security systems, risk management, and regulatory compliance. · Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. · Ability to respond to emergency situations and manage security operations effectively. · Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
