Business Development Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to lead our sales efforts and oversee operations at our Lagos branch. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective business strategies, fostering client relationships, and driving sales growth in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Strategy Development: Design and implement sales strategies to achieve company objectives and increase market share in the Lagos area.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and lead the sales team in the Lagos branch, providing guidance, support, and motivation to achieve sales targets.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand the client base.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape, using insights to inform sales strategies and business decisions.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze sales performance metrics, preparing reports and presentations for senior management to highlight achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as marketing and operations, to ensure alignment and maximize overall business effectiveness.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs for the sales team and coordinate training programs to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Budget Management: Assist in the preparation of budgets and manage expenses to ensure profitability in the Lagos branch.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in business development or sales management, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of the local market in Lagos and the ability to identify growth opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a results-driven mindset.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From ₦250,000.00 per month
