AC Technician
Job Overview:
The AC Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. This role requires technical expertise in diagnosing and troubleshooting HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance, and providing timely repairs and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Pay: From ₦120,000.00 per month
The AC Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. This role requires technical expertise in diagnosing and troubleshooting HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance, and providing timely repairs and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Setup:
- Install new air conditioning systems, including compressors, condensers, and evaporators for homes, offices, or industrial units.
- Properly connect AC units to ducts, electrical wiring, and thermostat systems.
- Perform site assessments to determine the most suitable AC systems for different environments.
- Maintenance:
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on air conditioning units to ensure they operate efficiently.
- Clean air filters, vents, coils, and other system components as needed.
- Check refrigerant levels, and recharge systems as necessary.
- Repair & Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and repair issues related to air conditioning systems, such as leaks, malfunctions, and electrical problems.
- Replace defective components such as compressors, motors, capacitors, thermostats, and fans.
- Test systems for proper functioning and ensure repairs meet safety and operational standards.
- Customer Service:
- Provide clients with estimates on repair and maintenance services.
- Offer advice to customers on maintaining their systems and improving energy efficiency.
- Ensure timely and professional service delivery to all clients.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures when handling refrigerants, chemicals, and electrical components.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance schedules and repair work for future reference.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and industry regulations and standards.
- Proven experience as an AC Technician or in a similar HVAC role.
- Strong knowledge of air conditioning systems, ventilation, and heating systems.
- Familiarity with different types of AC systems (split, central, window units, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems.
- Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as necessary.
Pay: From ₦120,000.00 per month
