The Ministerial Advisory Service (MAS) lead the stewardship of an open and transparent Treasury through the release of official information. MAS also enables the Treasury to support its Ministers in a coordinated and consistent way. Our goal is cultivating, maintaining and managing relationships internally, building credibility as an advisory centre of excellence within the organisation. Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and driven Senior Ministerial Advisor to work within our high performing Ministerial Advisory Service Team. In this role, you will lead and oversee the drafting of replies to Ministerial correspondence and prepare responses to Official Information Act requests on behalf of the Treasury and/or Ministers. You will support the Treasury with best practice guidance and continuous improvement initiatives to help achieve our vision. As a Senior Ministerial Advisor, you will mentor junior staff, lead education sessions and help liaise with Ministers' Offices on complex areas of work. This is a fixed-term opportunity through to 30 June 2025. Expressions of interest for inter-agency Secondments welcome. Ō pūmanawa | About You Whatever your background, you will be conversant with the contemporary political environment and current events and be known for your ability to deliver whilst managing multiple priorities with tight deadlines. You'll be a high performing, analytical thinker who can bring:
