Make a difference as a Senior Underwriter

Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Underwriter with expertise in Property, Motor and Liability products to join our Auckland-based team.

Your responsibilities will include:

Underwriting predominantly renewal business, including rural risks
Building and managing relationships with allocated brokers and agents
Visiting clients when required, to retain existing business
Managing day-to-day queries from brokers
Working with the sales team to develop a strategic approach to key client relationships

This is a full-time permanent opportunity, with a hybrid working arrangement and the flexibility to be based at any of our Auckland offices (CBD, Albany or Sylvia Park). You will be visiting clients occasionally as a part of this role, so a Full Driver’s Licence is required. You will be working Monday-Friday, 8:30am – 5pm.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Good knowledge of Property, Motor and Liability products
Proven use of high levels of commercial underwriting authority
Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills
Proven experience building relationships within the insurance broker market
