We are looking for a Senior Asset Planning Engineer to join our Water Services Team based in Te Awamutu. This role will develop and implement strategies and asset management plans for Council's strategic/long term infrastructure planning as it relates to water, wastewater and stormwater assets. So, what does this mean? Well, as a qualified Engineer with knowledge and experience of water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure, one of your key areas of focus in this role will be to plan and implement asset management strategies and plans to support a robust asset renewal and maintenance profile for the 'Three Waters'. You will need to work closely with your team of skilled professionals to look for new and innovative ways to improve our services, data integrity and also ensure water supply demand management is undertaken to meet the objectives of the District Water Supply Strategy. To be considered for this role, you will have excellent people skills, be motivated towards asset engineering and planning and be willing to share your experience whilst upskilling your peers. You must also have comprehensive project management skills to support thorough decision making. With excellent communication skills, you will ensure you have all internal and external stakeholders fully on board.
