Are you passionate about nature and eager to advance your career in parks and conservation management? You may be ideally suited to be one of our Seasonal Field Rangers for the summer of 2024/2025! We have a range of positions from 3 months to 8 months.
Here at the Christchurch City Council our work is in the city that surrounds us. Our regional parks feature some of Christchurch's most iconic places from sandy shore beaches to the rocky outcrops of the Port Hills and Banks Peninsula.

As a seasonal Regional Parks Field worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring that visitors to our beautiful parks and natural areas have a safe and enjoyable experience. These positions are perfect for individuals who are physically fit, hardworking and, passionate about environmental conservation. You will enjoy maintaining park facilities in and around Ōtautahi-Christchurch and Te Pātaka o Rākaihautu-Banks Peninsula and thrive in a collaborative team environment.

You will need to be confident in your ability to work in small teams, communicate well and take action where required. Being personable and approachable will see you engage with park visitors, key stakeholders, and the wider community.

Hours of work - Monday to Friday 730am - 4:00pm
Positions - 5 x 8 months Fixed Term & and 2 x 3 month Fixed Term positions available
Location - These positions are primarily based at Victoria Park and Bottle Lake Forest Park
Salary - $26/hour
Closing Date - 25th September 2024
