About the opportunity | Te whiwhinga mahi
An opportunity has arisen at our Te Rapa Store for a L6 Charge Hand to supervise the daily operation and administer inventory systems. Utilising your leadership and communication skills, you will mentor and develop a motivated team whilst scheduling daily activities to ensure everything is completed according to plans and policies, assisting with staff training, and focusing on Health and Safety.
Your savvy computer skills will allow you to accurately run reports and your confidence in warehouse management systems will ensure you operate our systems efficiently, co-ordinate stock movements, and maximise utilisation of storage space. You will work in a fast-paced and technology-driven environment where you will be required to plan, organise, and problem-solve to ensure all KPIs for the stores are being met. You will be passionate about what you do and be future focused on making a positive contribution to our Co-Op every day.

We are looking for an up-and-coming charge hand who is forward-thinking, self-motivated, and takes pride in their work. Your proven leadership ability and outstanding organisation and planning skills are the keys to your success.
We want to hear from you if you have:
- Proven leadership ability and exposure to motivating a team to deliver outstanding results.
- Forklift experience with an F endorsement and current OSH certificate.
- Ideally experience working in a warehouse or distribution centre environment.
- Be physically fit - our products are not always light and can weigh up to 25kg.
- Resilient and great can-do attitude with a strong health and safety focus.
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to work as a team and independently.
- Tech-savvy computer skills ideally in Microsoft Office as well as inventory control and warehouse management systems.
