Power Systems Analysis Engineer

We are recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing consultancy with offices in Auckland, Wellington, Bay of Plenty, and Christchurch. They pride themselves on their flexible and agile approach to work, ensuring their people have the support they need to balance their careers with life outside of work. They've built a remote-friendly environment where collaboration is seamless, and recognise the importance of personal time and family.
As their offices continue to grow, they are now looking for Power System Analysis (PSA) Engineers to join this fun and hard working team. You’ll be able to work on cutting-edge projects across the energy sector and contribute to delivering innovative solutions to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct detailed power system studies including load flow, short-circuit, harmonic, and transient stability analysis using tools like Power Factory, PSCAD, and ETAP.
  • Collaborate with clients, preparing technical reports, and making informed recommendations for performance improvement.
  • Engage with distribution businesses (EDBs) to assist with network planning and asset management.
  • Stay updated on power systems technology and regulatory changes.
About You:
  • You are an experienced engineer with 5-15+ years of post-graduate experience in power system analysis in consultancies or utilities.
  • You have a solid understanding of power system modeling techniques and are proficient in industry-standard software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are necessary, as you’ll be liaising with clients and stakeholders regularly.
What’s on Offer:
  • A supportive environment with flexible work options, health and life insurance, and professional development opportunities.
  • Be part of a team that values growth, with benefits like paid professional memberships, study assistance, and a well-stocked fridge!
  • As an employee-owned company, you'll have a say in shaping your career and the future of the business.
