GARDEN DEPARTMENT
FIXED TERM ROLES – PART TIME
Mitre 10 MEGA Invercargill is a locally owned and operated company with a vision to provide outstanding customer service and great value products to our customers. Our store is a popular destination for our customers during spring & summer, and we are looking for additional team members to help us provide exceptional customer service and keep our store looking good.
We have the following fixed term, part time positions available:
Garden Goods Fill Team:
Fixed Term role starting October 2024 running to Easter 2025

Role 1: 16 hours per week working Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 6am – 10am

You will need to be physically fit as there is a lot of manual handling and lifting in this role. You must be confident in a ‘working’ warehouse environment as you will be required to use ladders, pallet jacks and move trolleys. Garden knowledge is not essential for this role but would be advantageous.
Garden Green Goods Customer Service:
Two Fixed Term roles starting October 2024 running to Easter 2025

Role 1: 32 hours per week working Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday 8 hours per day.
Role 2: 18 hours per week working Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6 hours per day.
We are seeking applicants to assist our customers in all areas of the garden department. Garden knowledge but would be advantageous.

For these positions we are looking for candidates who have:

A passion for customer service;
Enthusiasm and team spirit;
Willingness to learn & strive for excellence;
Excellent communication skills;
Physically fit as there will be a significant amount of lifting & manual handling, walking, standing & bending.
Candidates will be confident working in a busy working retail warehouse based environment, which includes (but is not limited to) ladder use, pallet jack use, moving trolleys
Ideally candidates would have a passion and knowledge of gardening.
