Specialist Seasonal (BBQ's, Camping, Outdoor Furniture) Mitre 10 MEGA Albany

Since our inception in 2009 with the opening of our first Mitre 10 store in Warkworth, we have expanded to include five Mitre 10 MEGA stores: Albany, New Lynn, Warkworth, Whangaparaoa, and Silverdale. Our stores are not only known for their extensive product range but also for offering a one-of-a-kind shopping experience, including Columbus Coffee cafés. Additionally, we operate a Distribution Centre and own our own Frame and Truss Manufacturing Plant, ensuring end-to-end service for both retail and trade customers.
As a Kiwi-owned company, Riviera Hardware Holdings retains the close-knit, family feel of a small business, while benefiting from the national infrastructure and support of the Mitre 10 cooperative. About the job:
This position offers a competitive hourly rate (releant experience and skill dependent) and a range of employee benefits. This is an on-site, permanent, full time opportuynity in a busy, multi-skilled team where one-team is the name of the game. Hours are 40 per week and the roster pattern for this role is Tuesday to Saturday.

We’re heading into the summer season, and we need a dedicated specialist to help customers in our seasonal department. From outdoor furniture and barbeques to camping and cooling products, you’ll be the go-to for expert advice and product recommendations.

What You’ll Bring
- 2+ years of experience working with seasonal products (BBQs, outdoor furniture, camping gear, etc.).
- A passion for all things outdoors and a knack for translating customer needs into the perfect product fit.
- A solid understanding of stock management, merchandising, and keeping our displays top-notch.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills—whether it’s walking a customer through a new grill setup or making recommendations on accessories they didn’t know they needed.
- Attention to detail with a safety-first mindset when it comes to product installation and store standards.
- Flexibility to jump in and help wherever needed around the store.
