We are looking for a passionate individual to fill the role of Fitness Centre Team Leader for the South East of the city (Pioneer and Taiora QEII). About the role | Ko te mahi nei The role of the Fitness Team Leader is to lead the delivery of high quality fitness services targeted to meet the needs of the customer. This includes:
Supporting the Fitness Manager and ensuring the delivery of high quality fitness services and programmes in a safe and appropriate environment that encourages ongoing participation.
Leading the delivery of a customer experience that is actively engaging, inspires confidence and a can do attitude by ensuring customer service standards and normal operating procedures are in place and followed.
Creating a 'tribal' culture and synergy within the fitness environment for both staff and customers striving for greater social connectedness, sense of belonging, familiarity and retention.
Developing capability of staff delivering fitness services by continually upskilling, mentoring, and training staff.
Utilise digital and technological fitness experiences that provide additional opportunities to increase participation, encourage social connectedness and adherence to exercise.
About you | Ko Koe Tēnei To be successful in this role you will have:
A fitness qualification (Level 5 Certificate or equivalent)
Minimum of 5 years practical experience in the fitness industry including 2 years' leadership experience in the fitness, sporting or recreation industry.

Days of work: Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work.

Location: This position is primarily based at Pioneer Recreation and Sports Facility, 75 Lyttelton Street, Somerfield.
Salary: The salary band for this position is from $78,464 to $87,182 per annum, based on a 40 hour working week.
