The New Plymouth District Council’s Parks Team is looking for dedicated Field Staff to maintain and enhance our parks, reserves, and urban forests. Tino takohanga Key responsibilities
To deliver horticulture and arboriculture services to customers as determined by the Arboriculture Specialist and in accordance with industry standards, procedures and practices.
Ensure all health and safety directions/instructions are followed.
Engage with the public and provide a quality customer service.
Utilises resources effectively.
Actively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislation.

Field experience in the maintenance of Parks and Reserves that may include cemeteries, horticulture, arboriculture, turf culture.
Drivers licence for relevant vehicle classes.
General fitness at a level to be able to cope with the demands of the job.
A passion for horticulture and arboriculture.
