Te āheinga - The opportunity We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Aquatic Maintenance Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will assist in maintaining the quality of our buildings, plant systems, and equipment. You will also help identify and address current and future maintenance needs for both the Aquatic Centre and seasonal district pools. Tino takohanga - Key responsibilities:
Ensure that the Aquatic Centre and seasonal pools building system and other relevant quality standards are adhered to with contracts in place for the regular testing and maintenance of building, plant and equipment
Identify current and future maintenance requirements and work with the Aquatic Maintenance Officer to ensure that maintenance plans and programmes are developed, updated and/or amended accordingly
Assist to carry out plant and building maintenance work and engage and liaise with external contractors as appropriate, compliant with relevant NPDC by-laws, policies and guidelines, national standards and central government legislative requirements
Actively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislation

Hold a current First Aid certificate or willing to obtain one
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Trade background preferred and Water Treatment qualification an advantage
