General Affairs Manager

We are looking for a General Affairs Manager to plan, organize, and control all day-to-day operational activities. This role will develop and implement strategies, procedures, and business plans to enhance company growth while ensuring alignment with our vision and culture.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in general affairs, operations management, or a related field within the chemical or ammonia gas industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements related to ammonia gas operations.
  • Good knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 is highly recommended.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and financial management software, IT savvy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Korean speaker is required for this position to ensure effective communication and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, and control daily operational activities to ensure efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
  • Develop and implement strategies, procedures, and business plans that align with company goals and drive growth.
  • Collaborate closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director on all business-related matters to support informed decision-making.
  • Establish policies and procedures that promote the company culture and vision, ensuring effective communication and implementation.
  • Oversee daily operations and supervise management to ensure operational effectiveness and foster team development.
  • Direct marketing initiatives by analyzing market trends and implementing best practices to enhance company visibility and reach.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial performance reports, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations and environmental standards specific to the ammonia gas industry.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture through employee engagement initiatives, training programs, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Develop and manage emergency response plans related to ammonia gas handling and facility operations.
Other responsibilities in details:
1. Office Management
  • Manage office supplies, inventory, and maintenance (cleaning, repairs, security).
  • Enhance the office environment to support staff needs.
2. HR Support for Expats and Visiting Staff
  • Oversee employee attendance, including check-in/out records, leave, and sick days.
  • Process payroll and benefits for expatriate employees.
  • Assist with recruitment tasks such as job postings and interview scheduling.
  • Support onboarding processes for new hires, including contract management and training.
3. Legal & Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure the company maintains legal registration and compliance, including license renewals and tax filings.
  • Stay updated on Malaysian regulations and implement them within the organization.
  • Assist with work permits, visas, and immigration processes for foreign employees.
4. Finance & Accounting Support
  • Assist with basic accounting tasks such as expense tracking and invoice processing.
  • Manage expenditures and budgeting, coordinating with external accountants as needed.
5. Event & Meeting Support
  • Organize and arrange internal events, meetings, and workshops.
  • Coordinate travel and meeting schedules for business trips.
  • Host and prepare for important visitors.
6. Document & Record Management
  • Organize and maintain company documents, including contracts, policies, and tax documents.
  • Manage employee files and legal documents.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other documentation as required.
7. Vendor & Supplier Management
  • Negotiate and manage relationships with vendors and contractors.
  • Oversee contracts and costs for service providers.
8. Additional Management Tasks
  • Manage company assets, including vehicles and equipment.
  • Address and support various staff requests.
  • Provide expatriate and travel support, including housing assistance for expats and visiting Korean employees.
