We are searching for a pin sharp Purchasing Supervisor to join our team at Radisson RED Galway! About The Role: Reporting to the Purchasing Manager and the Financial Controller, as our Purchasing Supervisor, you’ll be the backstage hero making sure we’ve got everything we need to deliver memorable moments for our guests! From Food & Beverage supplies to décor and tech, you’re the pro who makes sure we’ve got it all, and that it’s delivered on time, every time. You know how to balance style, sustainability, and price, ensuring that our suppliers are as cutting-edge as we are. You’ll be the go-to for all things procurement, working closely with suppliers, negotiating deals, and ensuring we always get the best bang for our buck. You’ll manage inventory levels, maintain relationships with suppliers, and keep us stocked with the goods we need to stay one step ahead. Plus, you’ll keep an eye on budgets, ensuring every purchase aligns with our financial goals and brand vision. You’ve got to be quick thinking, sharp negotiating, and have an eye for the bold and the beautiful! You’re organised, detail-oriented, and always on the hunt for the next big thing. With your expertise, you’ll help keep Radisson RED running smoothly, from the front desk to rooftop bar, and everywhere in between! - Minimum experience: 3+ years of relevant experience in Purchasing. - Minimum education: National academic qualifications / Degree in Finance preferable. Roles & Responsibilities: 1. Ensure and assist in the smooth running of the purchasing department, exerting diligent financial process control in accordance with company and business procedures, ensuring efficiency and resilience to growth. 2. Working proactively with all key stakeholders to maximise guest satisfaction and comfort, sourcing quality products whilst delivering a positive and responsive approach to enquiries and problem resolution. 3. Develop and implements business strategies where objectives are communicated at all levels, performance is measured accurately and reported upon in a timely manner to support strategic decisions to enable delivery. 4. To ensure effective processing of all external purchase orders and all internal stock requisitions from each department in a timely fashion. 5. Prepares and is responsible for the purchasing budget, ensuring that all purchasing functions and disciplines are controlled, audited and developed whilst ensuring productivity, inventory and cost efficiencies levels are attained. 6. To undertake the various stock takes at the end of each month working with the approved external company to complete this and meet Rezidor reporting guidelines – ensuring close attention is given to completeness and up to date costing implemented. To maintain the excel records for beverage stores as live for all receipts and requisitions in order to facilitate testing as appropriate. 7. To compute stock-taking cut off to balance month end stocks to agreed amounts. 8. Reviews and scrutinises purchasing performance, in accordance with company policy, objectives and standard purchasing practices, providing recommendations that will drive financial performance and provide added value. 9. Ensures adherence to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required. Competencies & Skills Requirements: 1. Proven experience in a senior purchasing or accounts position, ideally within a hotel or the hospitality sector 2. Strong problem-solving capabilities 3. Excellent leadership skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style 4. Commitment to exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry 5. Ability to find creative solutions, offering advice and recommendations 6. Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time and energy 7. Strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing skills 8. Outstanding analytical and strategic skills improving the business from a financial perspective 9. Excellent ability to work collaboratively across functions and cultures in a global environment 10. Skilled with Microsoft Office software, especially strong in Excel 11.
