We are searching for a motivated and passionate Meetings & Events Planning Supervisor to join our team at Radisson RED Galway. About The Role: Reporting to the Director of MICE Revenue, as Meetings & Events Planning Supervisor, you’ll be the mastermind behind the scenes, orchestrating every detail to perfection. Your role is all about making sure every meeting, every event, and every gathering goes without a hitch, and with a whole lot of style. From the first handshake to the final farewell, you’re there every step of the way, ensuring that everything not only meets, but reaches far beyond our client’s wildest expectations. You’ll be the go-to guru for all things meetings and events, managing everything from small corporate get-togethers to show-stopping celebrations. Your day-to-day will be a whirlwind of creativity, logistics, and client interactions. You’ll work closely with the Director of MICE Revenue to ensure our events not only drive revenue but also build our brand’s reputation for being the freshest, most innovative hotel experience around the bay! Minimum experience: 2+ years of relevant experience in Meetings & Events.
Minimum education: National academic qualifications / Degree in hospitality / events preferable.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Manage meeting and events enquiries for the department by phone, email and through 3rd party websites.
Ensure all proposals are responded to in an efficient and professional manner.
Ensure team activities are attached to every booking and are updated daily.
Actively promote and sell the hotels facilities through client show rounds and familiarisation trips.
Prepare Offers & Contracts in line with the hotels M&E standards.
Ensure all confirmed business have a signed contract and deposits are paid in line with the contract’s terms.
Ensure that you, the team or the operations team are welcoming clients to the hotel during their meeting/function.
Follow up calls post event for feedback and in order to secure repeat business.
Utilise guest feedback to develop services and procedures to enhance guest satisfaction.
Assist with the management of the office in the absence of the MICE Director of Revenue
