Job Objective This role will be based between our head office in Bracetown Business Park, Clonee Co Meath, and our Processing Plant in Shercock, Co Cavan. The primary purpose of the project manager role is to lead, oversee and ensure the successful delivery and management of single or multiple projects. A key function of the role will be evaluating and managing change on the business and ensuring that plans, deliverables, communication, and support are defined and managed effectively for all stakeholders throughout project and change delivery cycles. The project manager must do this within scope, to an agreed quality, and within time and cost constraints. These factors may be clearly defined or may require dynamic change management to deliver business value. As Project Manager you will stay abreast of leading and cutting-edge technologies and industry best practices. Duties and Responsibilities · Analyze project proposals to determine time frame, funding limitations and appropriate process for accomplishing projects. · Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks. · Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle and confer with project staff to outline a work plan. · Establish a work plan and staffing for project activities, iterations, or phases, and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel. · Act as the central coordination point for projects impacting the business, ensuring that project deliverables and the needs of all stakeholders are met. · Implement a project communication plan. · Perform risk assessment and implement mitigation plans. Own and manage all aspects of project governance including detailed project plans, management of risks and issues, including issue resolution and risk mitigation strategies), project reporting and escalation. · Ensure that project goals are in line with business objectives. · Ensure that project goals are achieved. · Assign duties and responsibilities to project personnel and define the scope of their authority. · Direct and coordinate the activities of project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget. · Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required. · Establish standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation. · Benchmark project management performance continuously to identify the potential for improvements and increase capability in project and portfolio management. Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors. Requirements Experience · 5+ years of project management successfully managing complex and risky projects · Experience in leading diverse teams Experience and ability in using “soft skills” or “people skills” Educational Qualifications · Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, project management or general business management. Project Management qualification desirable i.e., PMP, Scrum Master Certification, Prince2. Skills and Competencies § Ability to lead and motivate others; ability to empathize and knowledge of personality types. § Familiarity with project management methodologies (for example, that of the Project Management Institute, PRINCE2 and Agile approaches). § Sensitivity to working in a political environment and to interacting with senior leadership. § Knowledge of project-planning tools. § Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. § Expertise in setting and managing customer expectations. § Effective influencing and negotiating skills in an environment where this role may not directly control resources. § Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.
