Internal Technical Salesperson - Dublin 12. In this role your responsibilities will include the following:
The primary role is to support and develop the sales of machine tools and related equipment including fabrication equipment, toolroom equipment, precision machine tools, machine shop accessories, work holding and tooling to the customer base.
This involves:
Dealing with customers by phone and email, in discussing, selecting and specifying appropriate machinery and equipment to meet the customer’s requirements.
Assessing customer requirements, through pro-active interaction and based on experience and product knowledge, and the reviewing of relevant technical information including technical drawings to determine appropriate specification of equipment.
Responding professionally and in appropriate detail to requests for quotations, including tender documents.
Liaising with principals in obtaining pricing, quotations and proposals to meet customers’ requirements.
Following up enquiries received from Field Sales Representatives and preparing proposals for customers to meet these enquiries.
Working with the Technical Manager, Service Manager and other personnel where appropriate in reviewing and assessing customer requirements and solutions to meet these.
Logging enquiries on the sales system. Pro-actively following up enquiries with customers, and sales representatives and in doing so, keeping the sales enquiry database up to date.
Keeping the sales system updated with the latest technical and pricing information and with the latest customer contact information.
Together with the external website developer, working to keep the website up to date with relevant product information, including stock machines and further, to develop the online presence.
Pro-actively identifying new potential customers and contacting existing and new customers by phone to determine if they have potential requirements.
Finalising costing sheets when customers' orders are received. Preparing and issuing of purchase orders to suppliers to fulfil customers’ orders.
Stock reviews with Divisional Managers.
Visiting principals abroad for product training purposes.
Visiting customers occasionally and as required, initially for training purposes and also for project meetings.
