Ensure all dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized according to health and safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, dishwashing areas, and other food prep areas.
Ensure workstations are cleaned before, during, and after service.
2. Dishwashing
Operate dishwashing machines and clean dishes manually when necessary.
Sort, stack, and store dishes, glassware, and utensils in designated areas.
Remove trash, empty bins, and ensure proper disposal of waste.
3. Stocking Supplies
Keep the kitchen stocked with essential supplies such as cleaning agents, utensils, dishware, and paper products.
Replenish the food and beverage stations in dining areas.
Assist in checking stock levels and reporting shortages to the supervisor.
4. Assisting in the Kitchen
Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks (e.g., peeling, cutting).
Assist with organizing and maintaining storage areas for dry goods and perishable items.
Transport food items between kitchen and dining areas as needed.
5. Health and Safety Compliance
Follow proper hygiene and sanitation standards as set by local health regulations and resort policies.
Ensure all equipment is in good working order and report any maintenance or repair needs.
Adhere to food safety guidelines, especially in handling and storing ingredients.
6. Supporting the Dining Team
Assist waitstaff in clearing and resetting tables.
Help with the arrangement of tables and chairs for events or dining services.
Be available to provide assistance during service rushes, banquets, or events.
7. Team Collaboration
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, waitstaff, and management to ensure smooth service.
Work closely with other departments (e.g., housekeeping, events) to meet the resort's operational needs.
