Job Responsibilities
Job Purpose
To enhance the brand image of the Taj Hotels in along various media avenues through effective planning and implementation of public relations activities in line with overall corporate strategy in order to build/maintain the brand equity of the Taj hotels.
Job Description
· Develop an annual communication plan based on past activities, current focus areas and the corporate and unit initiatives, in coordination with the corporate PR Team, General Manager and local and international PR agencies.
· Identify key spokespersons, develop content for their media interactions, brief them with respect to the same, and coordinate their communication with the media and the public in times of crisis.
· Develop F & B and lifestyle related events to ensure consistent media exposure in consultation with the F & B Manager, Director of Sales and General Manager on the concept, campaign plan and deliverables. Coordinate with the PR agency, vendors and print and televised media sources to ensure adequate visibility and promotion.
· Liaise with the Marketing head to ensure that adequate content is provided for marketing services activities.
· Foster relationships with domestic and international PR agencies, the press and other key stakeholders (artists, critics, event organisers) and facilitate interactions with them on a regular basis to ensure adequate exposure of the services offered by the hotel.
· Conduct a review of the efficacy of previously PR activities and implement adequate qualitative and quantitative corrective measures in consultation with the PR head, the Director of Sales and the General Manager.
· Maintain a record of all coverage obtained by the hotel.
Qualifications and Experience
· 7-8 years in hospitality/service/luxury brands industry focusing either on marketing or communication
· Adherence to Tata Values
· MBA with experience in Hotel Industry
