CINI is a 50 years old non-profit, non-government organisation (NGO) registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 in India. Over more than five decades, we have been partnering with central and state government, national and international donors, non-government organisations and local communities to strengthen the capacity of deprived children and women to improve their health, nutrition, education and protection conditions. Distilling international and national experience, we seek to learn from the poor to improve our interventions in under-serviced rural and urban areas. We aim at strengthening local governance processes that give marginalised and poor communities a voice and influence national policy. Founded in 1974, Child in Need Institute (CINI) with an experience of 50 years, reaches out to over 7 million population in the states of West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Assam, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. CINI received the National Award for child Welfare twice in 1985 and 2004. CINI is accredited by the Credibility Alliance in India and is registered with the Tata Institute of Social Sciences Corporate Social Responsibility Database. CINI has been working in Jharkhand since 2002 and is recognized as one of the Technical Support Agency, extending support to the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Department of Women, Child Development & Social Security, Department of Youth, Culture and Sports, Department of Labour, Employment, Training & Skill Development and Department of School Education & Literacy.

- Demonstrated knowledge on local child protection issues, protection laws, acts, guidelines
- Experience of working with individual cases of children for case work
- Proven liasoning and knowledge of the government services, departments and schemes for case linkages.
- Experience of community mobilization and working with parents and children for case management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and work collaboratively with local stakeholders and multi-stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Data Management, analysis, interpretation and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated experience in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adaptive management.
- Must be fluent in Hindi and English (spoken, written, and reading) and demonstrate effective written and verbal communication
- Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred) in public health, demography, statistics, social sciences, economics, international development, or related field or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 5 years progressive responsibility with developmental organizations and experience in MEL for development programs, including developing performance management plans, developing indicators and targets, conducting evaluations, and reporting on project activities.

- Coordinates and supports data collection by project staff and partners, offering training and logistical support as needed.
- Manages data processing including transfer, validation, verification, and cleaning procedures.
- Work along with District Coordinators for dispersing information through publications, reports and presentations focused on lessons learned, key findings and recommendations to government, donors, partners and stakeholders.
- Conducts regular home visits, follow up of cases and develops a case management framework for working on inclusion aspects.
- Maintains appropriate and professional boundaries.
- Uses language and behavior that promotes the positive image of the individuals supported and the work of the organization.
- Practices all safety standards in adherence to CINI’s policies and procedures and maintains strict adherence to the organizations Safeguarding policies
- Accurately completes required documentation within the prescribed timeframes.
- Maintains confidentiality standards in accordance with all company and regulatory standards and in line with the India Data Protection Act.
- Maintains strict adherence to the organization’s Safeguarding policies ensuring children and vulnerable adults coming in contact with CINI are treated with respect and are free from abuse.
