About the Organisation: Child in Need Institute (CINI) is a national-level award-winning non-profit organization registered in 1974 in West Bengal with state offices in Assam, Odisha and Jharkhand. The organization has been implementing programs as well as is a key technical partner of various government departments to demonstrate models in improving the quality of lives of children, adolescents and women in need. CINI’s core model is based on the CINI method that promotes a rights-based convergence approach which has so far attracted the attention of policymakers and other different actors of the development sector, and which has proven to be an effective design to promote local-level solutions for improving care and protection of Children. About the Project: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (Mo HFW) is implementing an ambitious National Strategic Plan with the goal to achieve SDG End TB targets by 2025. The challenge of tuberculosis requires a multi-sectoral response to address the social determinants like nutritional support, living and working conditions, and an increase in access to diagnostic and treatment services. India contributes 25 percent of total TB patients of the world, to eliminate TB from India and to meet target of the SDG Government of India has launched “Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” on 9th September 2022. In this background Central Coalfields Ltd., Jharkhand has joined hands with CINI for support through Nutritional care and mental well-being support for patients with Tuberculosis in Chatra and Latehar District to achieve the Goal of NTEP. Experience: a. Minimum 02 year working experience at Block / District Level in Public Health Programs. b. Experience of working in rural setup. c. Experience of working closely with the PRI, CBOs, SHGs, communities and government system (with NHM / TB. Cell / GFATM) d. Experience of working with Govt Front Line Workers viz. ANM, Sahiya, AWWs, etc. is an added advantage. Qualification:

Engage with local communities, health workers, and other stakeholders to raise awareness about the benefits of the Nutrition Food Basket initiative.
Facilitate sensitization activities to encourage TB patients to access nutrition services and adhere to treatment protocols.
2. Formation and Support of Community Groups:
Form panchayat-wise Community Support Groups (CSGs) within the block to enhance local engagement.
Conduct capacity building sessions for CSGs on TB, resilience issues, and the Spandan module.
Ensure regular monthly meetings of community-based groups and support them in developing community action plans.
Organize project activities at the panchayat and village levels, coordinating with Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRI), frontline workers (FLW), and community leaders.
Report community-based activities on a daily basis through KOBO or other digital platforms.
Provide need-based support to the district coordinator in the distribution of Nutrition Food Baskets.
3. Coordination and Communication:
Coordinate with District and Block TB units, local administration, and other stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of the Nutrition Food Basket project at the block level.
Establish and maintain effective communication channels with key stakeholders, including District TB Officers (DTOs), Block TB units, and local health officials.
Actively participate in Monthly Review Meetings of the District Health Society chaired by the Civil Surgeon, providing updates on block-level activities.
4. Data Management and Verification:
Collect, verify, and maintain accurate data on the distribution of Nutrition Food Baskets to identified TB patients within the block.
Conduct telephonic verification of TB patients to confirm eligibility and ensure accurate identification of beneficiaries before distribution.
5. Logistics and Distribution Coordination:
Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating the distribution of Nutrition Food Baskets with support from Block TB units and DTOs.
Facilitate facility-based distribution events within the block, ensuring all logistics are in place for smooth execution.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
Ensure proper documentation of distribution activities, including tracking deliveries and maintaining beneficiary records using tools like KOBO checklists.
Prepare and submit regular reports to the District and Block TB units, and to the State office as required by the project.
Maintain accurate records of all community interventions, feedback, and progress updates at the block level.
7. Administrative Support:
Assist in obtaining necessary approvals and letters from Block TB units to facilitate the smooth implementation of the project at the block level.
Address any logistical or administrative issues that may arise during the project’s implementation and resolve them promptly.
8. Monitoring and Compliance:
Monitor the progress of the Nutrition Food Basket distribution within the block and ensure compliance with project guidelines and protocols.
Identify and address any gaps or challenges in the distribution process, providing timely solutions to ensure efficient service delivery.
Expected travel:
70% of the working days in a month need to be spent on field visits in all project areas according to the requirement.
Candidate is expected to travel to remote field areas in the designated district / blocks with occasional travel to State Office, Ranchi.
The candidate must have their own two-wheeler with valid license.
