JD for an Instructional Designer (SE)
- Analyze and apply best practices of instructional design to courses
- Ready to work on different learning content types (technical, soft skills, process design, procedural design etc) and also formats such as ILTs, e Learning etc
- Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content and be able to tell great stories using abstract information and raw data
- Work with subject matter experts to identify target audience s training needs and come up with appropriate solution to a learning problem
- Set clear instructional goals and create content that matches them
- Create, maintain and update checklists, guidance documents, style sheets, brand guidelines etc
- Visualize instructional graphics, user interface and the finished product of courses and design supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc)
- Create exercises and activities that enhance the learning and devise modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the course
- Maintain project documentation, learning assets inventory and follow/adhere to all version control requirements regularly
- Manage project schedules, timelines etc and be a multitasker
- Facilitate discussion and collaboration at all times with team members
- Work with technical staff to troubleshoot problems reported by users
- Have knowledge of e Learning authoring and documentation tools
Qualification, Attributes and Skills:
- Graduation/degree with specialization in communication, education, software engineering etc
- 2-5 years of ID experience
- Have exceptionally good verbal and written skills and be well versed with ID and adult learning theories, models and taxonomy (Bloom s, Gagne s, Kirk Patricks etc) Ready to work in shifts (UK, USA, Canada)
