Position Summary: The Girls' Warden is responsible for the overall well-being, discipline, and supervision of the girls residing in the school hostel. The Warden ensures a safe, secure, and nurturing environment that promotes the holistic development of the students. Major Skills Should be Good in English Communication and could take care of children Key Responsibilities:
Student Welfare:
Ensure the physical and emotional well-being of all students.
Address students' concerns and provide support for academic, personal, and social issues.
Promote a positive and inclusive hostel environment.
Discipline and Order:
Enforce school and hostel rules and regulations.
Manage and resolve conflicts among students in a fair and consistent manner.
Maintain records of disciplinary actions and report serious incidents to the Head of Residential Life/Principal.
Supervision and Safety:
Monitor students' activities and ensure their safety and security within the hostel premises.
Conduct regular checks and inspections of the hostel facilities.
Implement emergency procedures and conduct safety drills.
Communication:
Serve as a liaison between the hostel, school administration, parents, and students.
Provide regular updates to parents about their child's well-being and progress.
Organize and conduct meetings with parents, students, and staff as necessary.
Housekeeping and Maintenance:
Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of the hostel.
Report and follow up on repairs and maintenance issues.
Ensure that all hostel amenities are in good working condition.
Activity Planning:
Organize and supervise extracurricular activities, events, and recreational programs for the students.
Encourage students' participation in various activities to foster a sense of community and personal growth.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, health, and behavior.
Prepare reports as required by the school administration.
Health and Medical Care:
Coordinate with the school nurse/medical staff to manage students' health issues.
Maintain records of medical history and ensure timely medical attention for students in need.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
Previous experience working in a residential school or hostel management.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
Proficiency in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
