The Barista will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and ensuring a positive experience for all customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and other specialty beverages, according to company recipes and standards.
- Operate coffee-making equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and brewers.
- Take customer orders accurately and process transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Provide exceptional customer service, including greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and seating area, including washing and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and work areas.
- Stock and replenish coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies as needed.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a clean and safe environment for customers and staff.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cash handling and balancing the cash register.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay updated on new products, techniques, and industry trends.
- Previous experience as a barista.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and POS transactions.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Passion for coffee and willingness to learn and share knowledge about coffee brewing techniques and products.
