The Assistant Special Educator will support the Special Education Teacher in planning, implementing, and assessing individualized educational programs for students with Deafblindness & Multiple Disability. This role focuses on promoting academic, social, and emotional growth for students with diverse abilities.
Key Responsibilities
:
1. Instructional Support: Assist the Special Education Teacher in delivering lessons, adapting materials, and modifying instruction.
2. Student Support: Provide individualized support to students with special needs, including behavioral, academic, and emotional assistance.
3. Lesson Planning: Collaborate with the Special Education Teacher to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
4. Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Assist in assessing student progress, maintaining records, and reporting student performance.
5. Classroom Management: Help maintain a structured and organized learning environment.
6. Communication: Collaborate with teachers, therapists, parents, and other professionals to ensure student progress.
7. Data Entry: Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and other relevant information.
8. Professional Development: Participate in training and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
Location: Guwahati Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree/ Associate's in Special Education, Education, or related fields.
ᐃ20Loading...21ᐃ-2 years of experience working with individuals with Deafblindness & Multiple Disability.
Certifications: Special Education certification or equivalent preferred.
Skills: Patience, empathy, communication, and organizational skills.
Other desirable requisite:
1. Experience with inclusive education and differentiated instruction.
2. Knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
3. Familiarity with IEP development and implementation.
