The Role
The suitable candidate will be responsible for:
- Identifying, evaluating, and maintaining relationships with suppliers to secure high-quality products and services
- Managing the procurement process for all goods and services
- Leading high-value contract negotiations with suppliers to achieve the best deals without compromising on quality
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and the hotel’s procurement policies for all purchases
- Training, mentoring, and leading the procurement team, ensuring high performance and adherence to hotel standards
- Monitoring and controlling procurement expenses, identifying opportunities for savings while maintaining product quality
- Providing regular reports to senior management on purchasing activities, cost savings, supplier performance, and budget adherence
- Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex data and identify trends
- Strong experience in high-value contract negotiations and managing supplier relationships
- Exceptional command of English, demonstrated in both oral and written communication
- Expertise in risk assessment, financial principles and mitigation related to procurement
- Proficiency in procurement software and other relevant IT tools
- Ability to work under pressure and meet performance targets Reference letters from previous employers are required
